Iowa State has a traditional rush process, so read about how it works at any of the big schools. Thankfully it is not as competitive, but I will say for the umpteen bazillionth time, if it's YOU going through the process, it's competitive. What that will mean to you is while you may not make the cut at the most competitive chapters, you will very likely find a home SOMEWHERE. So don't be too good for any chapter and presuming your grades are acceptable and you have good communication skills, you'll be fine. If your communication skills are a little lacking, you have time to work on that.
