Old_Row: I got a job and can now afford to pay entirely on my own, and my parents' only objection was the price so I know I'll be able to go through with it this time. And just to clarify, I didn't drop because I didn't like the chapter. I loved all the houses, and even though the one I got a bid to wasn't my top choice, I would have initiated anyway if I had the money because I know girls don't always get their top choice. I felt blessed to receive a bid at all, and was extremely disappointed to have to drop. My first post didn't quite convey that the way I wanted it to... But the house I got a bid from was a wonderful group of girls who I am still in contact with today

Also, does anyone know how a chapter decides if they want to accept a transfer who's already initiated to another chapter of their sorority? Like, would I have to go through recruitment with them again, or is there an interview, or something else? Does it vary from school to school? (Forgive me if that didn't make sense- it's 3 AM here and I'm not at my most literate when I'm tired :P)
