BID DAY WAS HERE!!
And let me tell you, it did not go smoothly at first. I went back to my dorm to nap for a few hours before I was suppose to be at the Student Union to receive my bid card. Unfortunately, my alarm did not go off...and I woke up TEN MINUTES before I was suppose to be there!!!!
I freaked out! I called my Rho Gamma crying and she told me not to worry, because the whole process was running behind so I was okay if I was a few minutes late. I felt better but I still rushed around to get ready.
I arrived at the union five minutes after I was suppose to be there. We all sat around with our Rho Gamma groups and talked while we waited for another 15 minutes (they were running really behind). It was the longest 15 minutes of my life! I was so nervous. It didn't help matters that my Rho Gammas were required to tell us that a lot of PNMs didn't get their first choice this year because there were so many of us going through recruitment.
My heart sank, because I knew I would not be happy as a Flanders. But I continued to think positive, and not let what they said freak me out.
Before we got our bid cards, it was Rho Gamma reveal. The one I had grown really close to turned out to be a Barney, and the other that I wasn't as close to but still liked a lot was a Lisa.
Finally, we were handed our bid cards.
We had to sit on them for 5 excruciatingly long minutes.
Finally, the ten second countdown began.
