" It is with heavy hearts that Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority mourns the loss of sister and volunteer, Harriet Block Macht. We were notified of Harriet's passing early morning on March 7, 2013.
Harriet was born on April 27, 1927 and became a founding sister of Delta Phi Epsilon at the Delta Delta Chapter at Indiana University in 1948, where she studied music and opera. After graduation, she settled down in the Miami, Fl. area and became a member of the Greater Miami Alumnae Association.
She then served as the first Delta Phi Epsilon National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Chairman during the NPC's 100th biennium, from 1991-1993. Prior to that prestigious honor, she began serving the NPC in 1988 as secretary and then treasurer."
