I was at a watch party, so I'm late inserting my 2 cents. And I'm sure everyone has been holding their collective breath.
I like Kristen Chenowith but she is too short to do these kinds of interviews. Women don't look attractive with their heads tilted down that far. And whatshername with the slit eyes and the always ready to flop over from being drunk really wasn't gonna make it through that interview well.
I though Seth McFarlane did great. "We Saw Your Boobs" was worth the cost of admission alone.
I thought most of the dresses were beautiful and (relatively speaking) understated this year. I loved that Helen Hunt wore off the rack. I thought Anne Hathaway's dress was too pale for her. If it was a bit deeper shade of pink it may have really been something. Queen Latifah looked amazing and is proof yet again that you don't have to be a stick to look elegant in a ball gown. And yes, I'd be all in with her hosting a red carpet show. But I'd be all in with her doing just about anything. I think she's charming and talented and always seems to be graceful under pressure. Adele definitely redeemed herself this time. She can't have lost THAT much weight in 2 weeks, so it has to show how dressing correctly can make all the difference. It didn't have to be black, but at least it wasn't red and black velvet curtains.
Not digging the facial hair on the guys. My list of 5 only consists of 2, and George could be at risk of losing his spot if he doesn't get rid of that old man beard.
Final note, there were a couple guys there who stood out (to me) as having age appropriate wives. At first glance I thought "wow, his wife looks OLD." Then I realized, no, his wife is the same age as him! We're just not used to seeing that.
