Tri Delta Doris Kearns Goodwin Nominated for Scripter Award
Delta Delta Delta award winning writer, Doris Kearns Goodwin, has received another honor. She has been named a finalist for the Scripter Award, one of the literary world's top honors. Doris Kearns Goodwin has also received the Pulitzer Prize and the 2005 Lincoln Prize.
She was initiated at Colby College in Maine where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation she received the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship. Later she went on to earn her Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University and was selected as a White House Fellow.
Ms. Goodwin was nominated for her book "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln". Her book was the basis of the Academy Award nominated film, "Lincoln".
