SGRho and the Girl Scouts make Yahoo news!
Saw this and loved it because I'm a scientist, a former Girl Scout (and the grand daughter of a 30+year troop leader), and Greek. Awesome!

I was a Girl Scout too, and this sounds like a great program. Good for SGRho for finding such an innovative program to support.
I wonder how many of us were Girl Scouts...

I was also a Girl Scout and so was Hypo. Several of the women in my Alpha Gam alumnae club are leaders or higher level volunteers with Girl Scouts. We often talk about the similarities between the goals of Girl Scouting and goals of sororities and what great sorority women former Girl Scouts make.
This looks like a great program! Kudos to SGRho!

And how much did your cookies cost? $1.25/box for me. And you could earn your way to free camp. I think a week at camp was something like $100.

I was a Girl Scout too! Always got the top cookie seller prize because my Mom's family is big and she used to work at a bank. It was a day pass to King's Island. :-) I loved being in it and had to quit when there were only two of us who wanted to continue in high school, I was seriously bummed because I wasn't ready to let someone else be the best cookie salesperson!

I loved being a Girl Scout! I'm 40+ years old and STILL remember my "flying up" ceremony from the Brownies to the Girl Scouts and how proud and happy I was. Do they still call it that?
