They're doing the "stiff upper lip" thing, but I can tell each of them is a wreck. I have to be the strong one. (I'm their only child.) But I'm still in "oh shit, my mother has cancer and is going to die soon" mode.

Big hugs to you. You really don't have to be the strong one. Nobody has to be the strong one. You can all be a wreck together. It's ok to be a wreck. It's ok to be in "oh shit my mother has cancer" mode. Put it all in God's hands.

Well said and so true. Sending you hugs and love. Try to take it one day at a time, ask questions, and ask again if you need to.
