I think my mom may have done the same thing to me. I thought I had never heard the Delta Sweetheart Song before but, when I heard it a few weeks ago, I had a flashback to hearing my mom sing it when I was a little girl. I couldn't explain it at the time but that is exactly the feeling I had. I was so overcome that I just burst into tears and no one knew what the hell was wrong with me.

So yes, I tried to brainwash my baby into wanting to be an Alpha Gam. My kids thought that was both brilliant and hilarious.

I would imagine that would huge standard practice for sorority women with baby girls.

I sang AOII songs to my sons when they were infants. Then again, any slow lullaby type songs might work when a baby won't sleep!

Oh Dee! This is exciting! Keeping my fingers crossed that Hypo wants to be a new Alpha AOII in the spring. BTW, I hope she liked Peter and the Star Catcher more than I did. My husband and I both comme Ted that we wished we'd left at intermission.

Chapters at Columbia, for those wondering:
Alpha Chi Omega
Delta Gamma
Kappa Alpha Theta
Sigma Delta Tau
And colonizing right after formal recruitment: Alpha Omicron Pi's Alpha Chapter.
I won't do a recruitment thread until after she's all done, if she even gives me enough detail to do one. There is an awful lot of identifying information about her here already and there aren't that many young ladies from Michigan at Barnard.

Gah! What a wonderful surprise!
Of course I'm hoping she will be an Alpha AOII, but more than anything I hope she finds her home.

Where's the "Like" button? Hurrah for a post-recruitment story, even if it's just "Hypo pledged XYZ".

Good luck to your daughter!
AGDee, I read upthread that you used www.collegeprowler.com while applying to colleges to determine "target" and "reach" schools. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this for graduate (specifically, law) schools?

One thing I've discovered is that if you look on the lsac website, the profiles of the various law schools usually have admission profiles based on GPA/LSAT scores.

BF has heavily used lawschoolnumbers.com, as well as the Law School Predictor (google it)
