My question is if you knew you were transferring, why did you rush at your current school?

Okay! I did not know if they had to vote to accept me and that would help. I'm originally from the south and I had wanted to go really far away, so I rushed at my school in order to make the adjustment. But I go to school in Boston and I realize I would much rather go to school in the south and have that kind of experience. Arkansas was my second choice in the beginning as I visited there a lot since my mom went there and I've seen the Kappa house there too. I should of delayed rushing but I didn't think I would originally transfer. Luckily some of my friends from high school are in Kappa there so I was hoping it would help me make friends there as well!

If you have friends there then you should ask them or contact Kappa headquarters to find out the process. I have a feeling everyone might do it a little different so no one could tell you here.

This is not the question for an open forum. I think it even begins to stray into member selection policy, which as you know is secret. What we do know here is sorority policies and chapter policies within those sororities vary.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say a chapter would be more likely than not to accept a transfer, but my opinion counts for exactly zero.

Start with your sorority headquarters to find out what you need to do. And talk to your chapter president so she doesn't feel betrayed when you bail on them.
