Great post.

FWIW, there have been some other discussions of whistles at GC, and honeychile and others have posted the "Fraternity Whistles" page a number of times. One of the more extended discussions is in this thread. In that thread, we noted that the ΑΔΦ is actually ΑΔΠ during the brief period (1905-1913) between being the Adelphian Society and ΑΔΠ, and we deduced that the page is from the University of Texas.

Thanks, MysticCat, for the link. The blog post came together very quickly when a friend's posting on twitter made me think of it. When I tried to search GC, I didn't have much success going through all the possibilities. September is horrendous for me in my "real job" and I must have missed the original discussion. I appreciate the heads up.
