A good friend of mine was in a sorority but dropped it last month because she didn't like her house (she is re-rushing next fall), and I am barely acquainted with a few other sorority sisters. I am trying to open up to girls who are in the houses that I'm interested in but it's difficult for me.

Friendly word: you need to be interested in each and every chapter at FSU, not just a few...!!!

There are threads here on how to have conversations, be friendly, meet people, etc. And a google search (today's doodle is really fun, btw) will yield all sorts of information on how to network and interact with people.

side comment: I wonder sometimes if face-to-face conversation is a dying art? So many digital natives are showing high degrees of "digital autism". Can only communicate with downcast eyes and a keyboard in hand.
