I wish I had some concrete info on when at UF we are allowed to speak to PNMs, but I don't.

I got the impression that speaking to PNMs during Spirit Week (work week) and Recruitment Week is off-limits. That's ANY potential new member, unless of course there is a valid reason you need to speak, such as class or work, and recruitment cannot be discussed.

Dirty rushing doesn't seem to be a problem at UF, the majority of summer B students are incoming freshman and if they happen to meet sorority members when out on the town and get to talking, it wouldn't be a big deal.

However, this "calling up an active and arranging a meeting" seems a little sneaky. Not on the part of the active because I'm sure she doesn't want to be rude and refuse to speak to the girl or do something as innocent as go shopping, and not on the part of the potential new member because I'm sure she just wants to meet new people and interact with an active, but the aunt's motives are questionable.

On the other hand, if they get along and the girl is offered a bid, good for her. It wouldn't be much different than those two having met years ago and getting along.

In any case, UF56, don't worry. I don't know if this is the case for you, but a lot of girls I know went into recruitment without knowing anyone else, and it didn't influence where they got bids (myself included).
