It is unfortunate that this mistaken belief still exists, and that prospective members feel that they will not be welcome. AEPhi, DPhiE, ADPi, DDD, ZTA, and all the rest welcome members from all religions. I hope more campuses find a way to address this misconception because it might encourage more women to consider the benefits of sorority life.

I hope so too, as I have heard of women refusing to consider NPC recruitment due to such misconceptions. While my sorority did not originally welcome non-Catholic women as members, it changed this policy 45 years ago. I'm positive that every other NPC has done the same.
On a somewhat unrelated note, I have noticed that Alpha Epsilon Phi and Sigma Delta Tau appear to operate differently during recruitment and sometimes do not participate in formal, but rather recruit seperately. While they are open to everyone, they seem to strive to fill a niche-market, unlike the other 24 groups .
