That's what I expected. Personally: not a fan.
We don't need any more stories about hazing, especially when the end result is death.
If I read the synopsis of a book and it said what you're describing, I would make a face like this:

and pick something else up. If you are looking for an "accurate portrayal of Greek Life", you're pretty off track, imo.
