I am working on a Cliff Notes version, but here is the jist:

Enjoyed all houses, was only invited back to Cherry for Philanthropy Night. Loved Cherry, so it was fine by me. Loved Philanthropy Night with Cherry, but was not invited back for Skit Night. Understandably very sad at the turn of events, but on the whole: Recruitment was an extremely positive experience for me.

Ah, man... I'm sorry. You seem really fun and have a great attitude.

Although the result is as most of us had expected, I'm sorry that this didn't turn out as you and we had hoped. Coincidentally, there is a current thread about the age range of sorority members, and it tops out at about 22 years old -- for the seniors, not the pledges. I have no doubt that the chapters think you are a really great person/lady, but the dynamic of a bunch of 18-year old pledges and one 25+ year old pledge is just off. So often you read on here about whether a chapter thinks a PNM will be a good "fit" with the rest of the chapter. That includes whether she will fit with the other pledges, as well as with the older chapter members.
Congratulations on giving it a great shot, against high odds. Finish crying it out, shake it off, and move on to find a group of like-minded people with whom you WILL be a good fit. They are out there, waiting for you.
(Waiting for someone to post, "There's always AI.")
