That makes zero sense. Unless things have really changed at Louisville in the past couple of years, you can get a bid as a sophomore.

Living in the Louisville area, I would say this is correct of the most part. Out of seven chapters, I would say three of them are a little more selective with sophomores as in looking for leadership, GPA, etc.

Her profile is such a hot mess. Here are some of the responses to that tweet and her continued tweets:

friend "thank god I'm not going to lose you to that mess! "
tweeter "haha oh girl i just got overwhelmed with all this time and money id be saving! So Im completely fine with it. More OC time!"
friend "helllll yes! sororities are toooo expensive or i would do it!"
tweeter "Definitely, but now im stuck with all of these dresses lol. efffff. I getting more and more pissed the more I think about it"

different friend
friend "%^&* that noise" (?)
friend "did they all tell you that"
tweeter "yea, they explained how since it shouldn't be hard for me to get involved that I should just informally rush in the Spring"
repeat of the friend's first tweet

That's my understanding as well. No guarantee you'll get a bid to your first choice dream chapter, but sophomores can receive a bid there.

Apparently referring to new members as babies is not going away anytime soon. Pull up #bidday on Twitter, and it's full of "can't wait to meet the baby..." Deltas, Alphas, Angels, Snakes, Squirrels, Pandas, etc. Although I think this one was kind of funny and different: "I'm a Zeta Potata and I can't get enough of our Zeta Tater Tots." And this is the worst: "all the babies are coming to the litter box today!!!"

that better NOT be Theta. Bettie Locke Hamilton will rise from her grave and there will be hell to pay.

Don't tell me, don't. Just don't.

For the final time: we don't have a mascot. We don't have babies, either.

ETA: she also posted this: "BABY KITTENS... RUN TO YOUR NEW LITTERBOX AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!! THOUGHT THETA, THOUGHT RIGHT! "

Way to represent us. I would be so excited to join an organization that encourages me to use a litterbox. SMH.
