And honestly, like I said before, I regret dropping out of recruitment, because I think joining one of those two sororities would have helped me a lot in adjusting to college life and being far away from home.
Maggixi, you were right. I am from the northeast. I'm from Maryland, and no one in my family is greek, so I honestly had no idea what to expect about recommendations, finding the perfect fit where you might least expect it, etc until after the fact. (Not to make an excuse though.)
I think though, in the long run, it was a good experience to have to learn from and become a stronger person and to move forward.
Sometimes I wish PNMs had more time to think about their choices before and after pref round instead of rushing into one that they might regret later on, as I did. But I'm not trying to make an excuse.
I'm going to think long and hard about it, and see what informal recruitment brings in the fall, and go from there.
And as I said before, I have wonderful friends in ALL of the groups, that were made long BEFORE recruitment ever started. They're true friends, and always will be, and they're not solely defined as a person and human being for which letters they might wear. That's not why I'm friends with them.

Again, I wish you good luck.
