I've never really boycotted a business based on their practices but there are places I choose not to shop at unless I'm in a bind. Walmart being an example of that. There's also this one local restaurant chain that kicked out two guys for kissing in their dining room. I refuse to eat there now but I don't really consider me refusing to go there a boycott because I ate there once and the food tasted like dog shit. It was more of a "one more reason NOT to go there" type of thing for me.
In regards to Chik-fil-a, I think the backlash is a bit much, its not like the restarant chain is refusing service to the GBLT community. As I know it, the CEO simply stated that he promotes "family values" or something of that nature. He's an individual and is entitled to his personal beliefs. I wouldn't be surprised if other CEO's are opposed to same sex marriage as well but just don't speak openly about it. Are they any better or worse than this guy? Shall we try to "out" them and compile a list of corporations to ban?
