First off, I have no info on this situation aside from what I've heard in the news. However, I wanted to comment on this post.

When I dealt with an injury lawsuit, my attorney's advice was to wait to file until near the end of the statute of limitations in order to better determine the long term/ongoing medical issues, necessary treatments, & the financial costs.
