Modern Italian: Prosicutto (sp?), sauteed spinach and artichoke hearts.
California cuisine: Like Thai chicken, but with no bean sprouts, such as you get at CPK. I also like the smoked salmon and caviar pizza that you find at the Wolfgang Puck restaurants.
