I would absolutely recommend going through recruitment! This past fall I transferred to a big SEC school where I knew absolutely nobody and am so glad that I went through recruitment. It was a great way to meet people (I still am friends with girls from my Gamma Chi group and girls who I just met along the way) and it worked out so beautifully for me.
Do try to familiarize yourself with the process at your new school. Ask the Greek Life Office about how common it is for sophomores/ juniors/transfers to go through, if there is an upperclassman quota, how common/important letters of recommendation are, how COB works, etc. The more you know going in the better.

If you do decide to participate, just be open to what every house has to offer and have fun with it!
