Now I'm living in Wisconsin, but my family is moving to Arizona in a couple months. I'm so excited to attend Convention again, but this time as an alumna! “I attended the 2010 Convention in Orlando, Florida, and was part of the choir for the Model Initiation. For as many initiations that I have participated in, it was by far the most moving experience, and knowing that I played a role in it made me feel extremely proud of Chi Omega's ritual. After I attended Convention, I was slated as G.M. for my chapter. One thing that is so fun at Convention is seeing all the wonderful ways owls are worked into wardrobes. “I almost missed my first Convention as an advisor four years ago as it was scheduled on my daughter's first birthday. Rather than miss the Convention in St. Louis, I brought the family. I brought an owl cake with us on the airplane (post 9-11, I never realized the trouble that a cake could raise in security). On the day of her birthday, I had a picture of Isabella and her owl cake taken with S.H. Jean Mrasek. It was Isabella's first taste of Chi Omega and chocolate. We raided Chi O Creations for her birthday presents. It was a great day. We are planning to celebrate Isabella's fifth birthday in Phoenix with Chi Omega, as once again Convention falls on her July 12 birthday.
