I'm going as well! My Alumnae Chapter will be officially chartered at convention this summer and my co-president and I will both be attending! (Though it's more of a mash-up blending of previous alumnae chapters in the area) Welcome New England Sigma Kappa Alumnae Chapter!

Sadness. Convention is days away and I'll miss it. I won't be a confirmed conventionite this year. I guess I'll have to wait until 2014. As soon as those of you going know where it's going to be held at, you must post it ASAP!!!

Vegas 2014 it is! June 18-22; smartly- for those of us who have to deal with the Risk Management pieces! -not on the strip, but about 15-20 minutes off!

Congratulations to all the Award winners- it's a pretty extensive list, be sure to check out the link above- but special CONGRATS to Kappa Beta, Grand Valley State University, for winning the Founders Award for Chapter of the Year.

Also exciting news learned while at the Achievement Banquet- Sister Jessica Casebolt of Alpha Chi chapter was crowned Miss Kentucky, joining Sister Lauren Vizza of Beta Epsilon chapter (Miss Louisiana) in the Miss America contest!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Foundation raised $224,254.22 at Convention!!!! This is almost $110,000 more than last year, which was the record!!!!

The Gamma Iota (Texas Tech) Corporation Board announced a $50,000 challenge to go toward the Leadership Consultant program. It was a matching grant aimed to then raise a total of $100,000. It was finalized on Saturday morning of Convention, announced, and within 9 hours the entire match had been raised!!!!

I'm going for tasteful showgirl. Does that even exist? LOL! I'm thinking TONS of sequins and feathers. Or we can dress up as drag queens. I call Liza Minelli! ;-)
