If your informal recruitment was of the sort where you HAD to sign up with the Greek life office to participate, if you did what you were supposed to do and they never gave you information on where parties etc were being held - I would go to them immediately. They screwed up and since your tuition pays their salary, they need to answer to you. If you don't get satisfaction from them, go over their heads to campus life or whoever the GL dept is a facet of.

Don't be too hard on your friend or the sorority, especially if she is a new member. She may not have been clear on what the sorority's requirements for NMs were and made you a promise she couldn't deliver on. It's a common mistake for newly initiated sisters, and I doubt that she meant it maliciously.

Oh nonono! I'm not mad at her and I'm not bitter about not getting a bid. I'm simply annoyed that the VP of recruitment told us that we would be contacted either way, and then it appears that I was left off of the call list! Thats the ONLY issue, and I was curious if this was normal ettiquete or an accidental faux pas. I actually have multiple friends in the house, and I was happy for the opportunity to meet even more great people. I should have been clearer, but I want to make sure I'm not giving away my identity.

If anything, I feel like the Greek office has a vendetta against me with the amount of times things like this have happened. (I know, its probably not true, but this has gotten ridiculous). I just want my refund and for them to not give any other girls as hard of a time as they gave me.
