I have watched a couple of episodes and quite honestly the moms are certifiable! IMHO they are just vicariously living through their daughter. They probably wanted to dance as children, but their parents didn't let them (for whatever reason) and they are pushing their daughters to live their dream.

Ladies correct me if I'm wrong but I think Kelly might have been one of Abby's former dancers. I could've sworn I heard her say something along the lines of "I've been here for 30 years..."

In her case, she's obviously done as a dancer and is now pushing her daughters to follow her dream.

Kelly danced for Abby until she left to become a cheerleader....and Abby files this under "obvious foreshadowing"

In many episodes, Abby acts like she doesn't remember Kelly ever dancing for her & acts as if Kelly made up the whole thing.

I'm pathetic. I can't wait to see why Holly walks out.

Oh, I can guess! The question is why has she stayed because she seems so much saner than the others.

Well that's what I was thinking but it looked like Abby could've been agreeing with her on whatever was "wrong". I hope she doesn't leave. I really like Holly and Nia.

I actually like Abby as a character. She's definitely over-the-top and can be obnoxious but she's incredibly entertaining to watch. I think she hams it up a lot for the cameras because she *loves* being on camera.

I've been watching since Season 1 and I honestly don't think these girls are being abused. They're not scared of her, they actually handle it pretty well and mostly shrug off her eccentricities or laugh at it. And they're very talented, hard-working girls. Their group is very close knit and you constantly see them running to hug each other, support each other and even wipe make-up off each other's faces. They're like a mini sorority! ha

My favorite mom is Holly. She's hilarious and responds so well to Abby's BS.

I do hate when Abby yells a them for crying or acts insufferable for no reason, but at the same time, she shows the girls a good deal of love and support. Most of it we don't see to boost the drama.

I am so addicted to this show!

Actually really liked this week where they showed a scene of Abby gossipping with Maddie, Chloe, and Mackenzie about Melissa's engagement. She seemed almost human. I also wasn't sure if she was suffering laryngitis, or we were getting to see a more realistic version of her teaching during Nia's solo lesson. She seemed to be instructing, rather than barking orders.

That was a funny scene! She was trying to trick them into spilling their guts but the girls didn't fall for it!

And I, too, wonder about Abby's voice. Sometimes she sounds like she's lost her voice or experiencing asthma.
