The operative word in what you said is "assume." I know not everyone reads the fine print (though it's not that fine in this case), but continuing to say that this effort is endorsed by the two fraternities leads me to think nothing has been read, either at the 1911 United website or in this thread. Forget the fine print; it's right there in the first post in this thread:

"Members of" is an important note because the actual fraternities (NHQ) do not officially endorse political parties and candidates.
It has been said a number of times since that first post. Given that, no I really don't see how people are missing it.
