Yes, Bro. Dr. Drew of the 'Blood for Britain Campaign' during WWII wrote the 2nd and 3rd stanzas of the hymn while Bro. W. Mercer Cook wrote the music and the first stanza. (They were students at old Alpha Psi Chapter at Amherst College.)
