Sorry, blondestorm for going so far off topic. You asked a question and it deserves an answer. So I'll make a few suggestions. If you ride horses, stay active with it on campus and let the sororities that you recruit at know. It's a good hobby and lots of people are interested in horses (as evidenced here). Get to know people in all the houses on campus. You should meet alot of sorority women in your classes. Let them know that you are interested in Greek life. Make friends your first year, and be sure to get good grades if you will be going through next year. Try to secure recommendations (I'm not sure how competitive MSU is).
Enjoy your first year. You can try to bulk up your resume all you want, but the most important advice that I can give you is the GC standard: Be yourself. Let the real you shine so that the right chapter can pick you as one of their sisters.
