I guarantee you the rumors are truer (if that can be a word) than their printed statements.

BRAVO confirmed that 4 of the ladies were let go but that it was "amicable".
“Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn DeLesseps will be returning for season five of The Real Housewives of New York. We’ve had a fabulous run with all the ladies and appreciate them sharing their lives with our viewers. It is a friendly departure among the other ladies and we continue to have ongoing discussions with them.”
I suspect there was nothing amicable about this. I don't see Jill taking this lying down. She LOVES the attention. First her former bff Bethenny gets her own show & it's a hit and now she's not a part of any show. Ouch!

I get this feeling it really wasn't amicable and that we will see at least one tell-all. From what I have been reading, the women just didn't like each other any more. Just a guess, but I'm sure Jill would have still been on the show if she and Ramona were still friends.

I think you're right. One of the things I've noticed in Jill's interviews was that she would spill the beans about Bravo! editing her words, ... putting words in her mouth when she's talking about one thing, but Bravo! would edit the taping and cause it to look like she's talking about one of the cast members. I can tell that the Bravo! network does a LOT of editing, because you can actually hear the change of inflections in each person's voice when the camera is not on them. I don't know if they sign contracts before the season that they're not to comment on how things are done in Bravo!'s studios or not, but I'd assume that's gotten Jill in trouble. Now, the other two, ... Alex and Kelly, ... they're just not interesting at all. When they put the camera on those two just to focus on their lives, I want to change the channel.

Jill seems to be quite bitter about it all.

Rumors are floating that 3 new housewives have already been cast though BRAVO has yet to confirm them.
I'm still undecided as to whether I'll watch or not. I can't stand LuAnn whatsoever and she makes me change the channel whenever I have to look or listen to her. I wish they'd have given her the boot too.

Did anyone see Jill on Joy Behar Wednesday night? All I could think was, Green with Envy. She says that she is ok, but she jabs at Bravo and Ramona throughout the interview.

I saw the interview. No, I disagree. Jill said that no one likes being fired. And, (this is Ellebud) the person who kept their job was a woman with an pinot problem, the nasty bug with the compatible selective hearing gene AND a teenage daughter, at home, who could bust loose at any time.

Well, you are on Team Jill and I’m on Team Everyone Else. Yes, I heard her say that nobody likes to be fired, but I also heard her digs throughout the interview. Bravo is trying to get more society women to be more like RHWBH and she really doesn’t fit the bill. Neither did Kelly or Alex and I don’t feel Cindy added anything to the show. Sonja is society and from what I hear from some friends who live in NYC, Ramona is more so than Jill.
If we are speaking of women being awful human beings, I will need to think of Jill. Nothing will make me forget how she treated Bethenny. She wanted Bethenny to suffer for wanting private time with Jason. Everyone, including Ramona, the Countless and Bethenny herself tried to resolve their conflict and Jill wouldn’t have it. In the end, it backfired and Jill tried to make it right. She had already made herself look like a horrible person and Bravo edited it to amplify what she did. It was too late.
Do I think she ever did things to Ramona? Absolutely! The second season, she tried to bring in a professional Tennis Player for the mixed doubles match just to beat Ramona and Mario. The Pro couldn’t make it and she teamed with Simon. Her antics backfired again.
Last year, she created the Brunettes, mainly to ally against Alex. Do I think there were times that Alex was wrong? Absolutely. But I also witnessed the years of Jill taking jabs at Alex and Simon
We don’t know what happens behind the scenes but I would venture to guess that she has a history of one-upping Ramona. She seems to resent that Ramona really has built her own business from scratch (sans Mario) where Jill road on the coattails of her husband to be a “career woman”.
I am relieved that she isn’t coming back because, frankly, she became very uncomfortable to watch.

I absolutely love, Love, LOVE Real Housewives of New York City!! But I already DON'T like Heather. She was the first one who started in about how someone MADE her feel. Gimme a break!
