Congratulations!

Is Blue Moons a sorority that has been around for a long time and wants to stay local, or are they a local who is thinking about colonizing with a national in the near future? (Not trying to out you, I'm just curious. )

I guess a National Sorority was going to colonize in the 1990's but interest fizzeled out but some girls were still interested in having a sorority, so they formed a local social sorority. I think they want to stay local.

Congratulations! Sounds like it worked out in the end and you found a great home.

Is it just me, or is it odd that you get a call if you have invites but a text if you don't? I would have expected the opposite so the recruitment counselor can answer questions and provide support... although I suppose it is a lot less awkward to send the equivalent of a break up text than make "the call".

I asked her to text me becuase I knew I would start crying if she had bad news for me!

I'm so excited everything worked out and I was surprised to learn that another girl who is in my pledge class was also rerushing, but as a sophmore!

This has been one of the best days of my life!!

I knew in my heart that I would not accept a bid from BLUE MOONS so I felt weird about singing the preference sheet stating that we would accept a bid from the sororities we listed. I talked to my Rho Chi though and she said it is very unadvisable to suicide and that it severely hurts your chances of even getting a bid from your first chance if they wanted you.
Congrats on SK!

Not to de-rail, but does the one year rule apply to locals? Green book Gurus - I know there can be campus-specific rules, but in general, if she would have gotten a bid to Blue Stars, is she still bound to it for a year since they're not NPC or could she have still COBed an NPC? It seems to me (barring campus rules) that she could have still COBed if she didn't want to be a Blue Star. We didn't have locals to deal with, though, so I'm not 100% sure.
