Are schools very involved in the whole rush process? Will they know what frats you rushed/pledged?

I think non-Student Activities/Affairs administrators have too many other things to worry about. That's been my experience.

What difference would it make if they found out, though?

Fraternities and sororities usually have to turn in a list of the people who are pledging them to the Greek Life office/Student Activities office.
