Thank you mevara, that thread did have some helpful advice.

However, this girl had originally gotten a bid. I was wondering if there was anyone who didn't receive a bid the first time, and re-rushed at the same school and got a bid the second time?

Absolutely, there have been. There are plenty of threads here to that point. Use the search function.

I did. I went through informal rush the winter of my freshman year unsuccessfully, and did formal in the fall and found my home. You can read my story. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Good, hard exercise to burn off the stress.

Work ahead on your classes so when recruitment is over and you are exhausted, you will have given yourself a bit of a cushion.

Do whatever you can do to relax and not think about it. Watch favorite comedies, etc. Give your mind and body a break in whatever fun ways you can.

And not everyone may think like this, but think through the worst thing that can happen and make peace with it now. Sometimes facing your fear head on (not getting a bid) and knowing that you will be okay with it eliminates some of the stress and pressure.
