So, yes. "Like any other group". If your sorority decides to descend en mass to the Magic Kingdom in matching shirts, you too can have your "own" parade.

No shit. I did not know that. When I hear "parade" I think of "thing that the park has to approve" - not just "random people attending the park marching down the street."
That's pretty brave on the part of Disney (overall, not Gay Day).

Why this shirt and not other "humorous" shirts

Quote:
Why do supposedly ironic T-shirts touch so many sincere cultural buttons? After all, a shirt that asks passersby "Who Wants a Mustache Ride?" -- to name one novelty tee on the market -- might be crude. But it's hard to believe that anyone would don it in the expectation that it's an effective sexual solicitation. Similarly, it would be pretty depressing if someone wore a shirt that said "I Drink Beer Like It's My Job," also widely available, and meant it. Nevertheless, it doesn't take a high-level humorist to tell that it's a joke. "All the Cool Kids Go to Rehab" might not be terribly funny, given the way the celebrity industry treats addiction and rehabilitation as recurring and sometimes trivial parts of the news cycle. But it's more depressing than offensive, an attempt to glamorize hitting rock bottom, and not a particularly effective one at that.
But retailers go wrong when they treat stereotypes and social issues as if they're distant enough to be the subject of casual humor.

No no, the parade is Disney's parade with floats and dancers and songs and what have you (after dark they (used to?) do a Electrical Parade of lights and stuff. They do it every day more than once (day and night I think).
The CROWD stretches from one end of Main Street to the other, they don't march in the parade. And when it's Gay Days the comment on their site was saying there were so many participants wearing red that you could really see how many people attended.

You'll see the Main Street parade about 15 seconds in.
I think that makes sense now?

There is also a low-key parade about mid-afternoon in which cast members pick guests to march, ride on low-tech floats, wave banners, etc. I don't know which kind was referenced in the site 33girl saw, but it could be either.

I assumed it was from a quote on the gaydays page since that's where she said she read and it had the line about a 'sea of red shirts' that i've been using.
