Yes, it is sad when a 27 year old dies. But no offense to her, she made these choices. She knew her drug addiction would kill her. But seriously, her death will probably be the cover of the next People magazine, not the debt and certainly not what happened in Norway. No a singer who died from using drugs. Seriously, what does that say about the world we live in.

What else is going on in the world is not a thread about the passing of Amy Winehouse. You - and others - chose to come into a thread about somebody's death with the intention of saying it's not a big deal. That's sad.
People magazine is a tabloid-style magazine. I wouldn't look to it for news about the debt, what happened in Norway, or kidnapped-missing-exploited African American children -- all issues which are also very important to me.
We can care about multiple things at once, you know, and you can care about anything you want - but it's unseemly to come into a thread ABOUT SOMEONE'S DEATH and say it's not a big fucking deal. Keep those sorts of opinions to yourself out of respect for the people mourning.
