I really like alot of the outfits you all have created but I have a quick question or two.

Rush at my school is the week after labor day but I have some cute Lilly Pulitzer dresses I want to wear. Both of them would not work with black shoes but since it's after labor day is it okay to wear white with them?
(If it helps, I go to NC State).

And also, I have some really cute heels to wear that are sky high... and painful after an hour of continuous wear. Is it a faux paus to plan on carrying my shoes and wearing a back up pair between houses?

I'm rushing too this fall. Anyway, do NOT wear white shoes or black shoes! You're wearing a Lilly! If you want to go for a neutral, I would wear a nude-colored shoe. I have to admit I read a lot of Vogue, Elle, and (my guilty pleasure) Cosmo and I've seen nude-colored shoes on a lot of celebs. Otherwise, you're probably wearing a pretty bright dress and you should find a color on the dress to accentuate.

I agree with wareagle that a neutral shoe would probably be best. Picking a color that kind of matches your skin will make your legs look longer. Maybe something like this:

Definitely not black, and I'd steer clear of white just to be safe. If you can find a cute shoe that matches a color in your dress it MIGHT work, but there's also a chance that you will look like a 10 year old playing dress up.

To answer your second question, there's nothing wrong with wearing comfy shoes between parties (in fact I'd encourage it!) but if they hurt so much you can't stand after an hour, that's a recipie for being sore and cranky. There's a chance you'll be standing through entire parties, and you won't be happy by the end of the night. It's probably best to look for a more comfortable pair.
