Here's what I mentioned coming into play, Bandolino's have never fit me right, other than boots. If you can get to a Nordstrom's and find a well trained person in the shoe department and tell them about your concerns they should be able to bring you some suggestions so you're not trying just anything on. When a salesperson knows their stock they are aware of inconsistencies or quirks of a line, design, or shoe and can really make the experience smoother and a good use of your time.
If you can financially swing it, spend a little more money for a pair of black heels you can use beyond rush. A good pair of black heels will take you to job interviews and into an internship or a grownup job and you know they will be comfortable. If you want to go that route I would suggest sticking to closed toe as they are more work appropriate over all than peep or open toe if you end up working somewhere more conservative.
