Anyone else not really head over heels with their GLO's colors/symbols?

We've only got the one color, and I've never been a red girl. I can deal, and I adore our unofficial mascot (yep, the panda is actually unofficial believe it or not). I do have a problem whenever our red is paired with black, because I am not a fan of my alma mater in any capacity and refuse to wear red and black in any combination. I also don't mind shirts in different colors either. A few years back we had an adorable chocolate brown and pink letter shirt available and loved that. I'm sure for some groups anything but their stated colors are a no-no, but I'm glad that's not the case for us!

I know at least one of our chapters that says our colors are Red and Black! Drives me nuts. I guess Cardinal isn't good enough. Anyway. I used to hate the sheaf of wheat. Thought the pledge pin was so ugly. It has grown on me over the years. Now that I have a vintage pledge pin, I know that part of the problem is the cheap-o pins we use now that don't really look like a sheaf but more like a mushroom.
