^^^Not on this side of Ohio. With the exception of Graeters (which I still think is inferior!), I have never heard of those.

Indy just picked up a Blue Bell distribution center last year, so I can pick up a half gallon at pretty much any grocery store. Favorites: Homemade Vanilla and Rocky Road.
But Graeter's is some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Their Black Raspberry Chip is to die for. One of the local grocery chains sells it for about 5 bucks a pint. Worth every penny. =)

But Graeter's Raspberry Chip is Oprah's FAVE!!!!!!!!!! lol!!
Toft's is based in Sandusky. I'm biased, of course, but I think it's the best ice cream evah! You can get it at The Anderson's in Columbus as well.
Young's Jersey Dairy is in Yellow Springs, and it's still delish.
Graeters sold out and got all commercialized, the other 2 have stayed true to local roots.

Ice cream is my weakness. I love Ben and Jerry's cheesecake brownie swirl. The best ice cream place in my area is Graeter's. Lots of good flavors to choose from!

Mmmmmm...ice cream. I used to work at Cold Stone. That was dangerous!
No other Chocolate Peanut Butter fans? IMO, chocolate and peanut butter is the best combination EVER. From the grocery store I buy the Haagan Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter. Oberweis has it too. If I go to Cold Stone I get Peanut Butter Cup Perfection (chocolate ice cream, mashed up Reeses, spoonful of peanut butter, and chocolate syrup).
However, I do NOT like peanut butter cups in vanilla ice cream.
If my favorite is not available, I'll also take plain chocolate, cookies and cream or cookie dough. I'm also a big fan of sorbet.

Um, how did I not know about this?!
And now I'm craving a Hoodsie Cup!
I love bubblegum ice cream from Hayward's in Nashua, NH.
I also love Ben & Jerry's Makin' Whoopie Pie. I didn't realize until I moved out of New England that not everyone "understands" this one. I also didn't really think about the fact that Hood is a regional thing, so 'Hoodsie Cup' isn't a universal name.

I live in an area with lots of gourmet ice cream shops.
* Salted Caramel from Bi-Rite Creamery
* Vanilla Balsamic Caramel from Ici
* Secret Breakfast from Humphrey Slocombe
Secret Breakfast is this really sweet ice cream with quite a few ingredients, but Bourbon and Irish Cream are main ingredients. Yes, it does have enough alcohol that if you eat too much, you might just lose your judgment (slightly).

My all time favorite is Graeter's Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Say what you will, but it's heaven to me.
After that a toss up between Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream and Phish Food.
