They don't believe that people have the "right" to "own" animals, and that animals should be free. The problem I have with that is because of a thing called "domestication" most
pet animals can't survive without some sort of human care. But no worries, that's where PETA comes in with their gas chambers. According to the PETA kills site PETA had a kill rate of 94% of animals in their shelter in 2010. I guess it's better to see dogs and cats dead than (gasp), a HUMAN adopting them.
