I don't understand why total is more than four times quota?!? or is this not their primary recruitment?

Because people actually stay involved all four years?

Ha ha, maybe so and I'm jaded, but even a quota of 10 and 100% retention would only lead to 40 members.

This is their formal recruitment. It's more than four times quota partially because they had prematurely lowered total and then this recruitment happened and boosted pretty much everyone over so they are looking to raise it again.

Do they have a system where they can only pledge to total and and they set total unrealistically low? This is the only scenario that makes sense to me.

No, they have a regular system, but some years at small schools rush isn't as big as it is other years - or people skip formal and join through COBs right afterward. KDcat said that everyone IS at total after this rush so it doesn't seem like a problem.

There's a couple reasons. One is that our total could probably realistically be slightly higher the other is that I think with RFM this year and the fact that one chapter that typically does not struggle did that quota was probably lower than typical to achieve as much parity as possible. I tihnk if this chapter had had a stronger recruitment you would have seen total around 11/12 and not over 14 women placed as quota additions. The school also sets quota every fall and spring wtih fall total being in the low fortys and spring total being in the fifties. This fall they lowered total from 43 to 41 and now after this recruitment everyone is pretty much at 51 and they just raised total to 54 to try and grow the system a little bit more.

Interesting; thanks for the information. I hope the system continues to grow!

University of Puget Sound Recruitment results

We just finished a record-breaking recruitment at the University of Puget Sound, with the largest quota (35!) since 1993 - and ALL groups made quota! I don't know the exact numbers for anyone else, but Pi Phi pledged 39 amazing new members.
I am so happy for our panhellenic - it is wonderful to see it thriving.

I just noticed that the dates for Susquehanna (PA) formal are wrong - we changed them. It's this coming week! Feb. 1-5: Wed. open houses, Thurs. philanthropy, Sat. preference and Sun. bid day.

Oh, and ZTA had 9+4 in informal last fall.
