I tip at the counter just as I do at Cold Stone Creamery. The difference is that the pizza place doesn't sing when I leave a tip. The Cold Stone Creameries that I go to usually do.

The singing annoys me. When I tip at ColdStone, I tell them up front, "If you start singing, I'm taking it back." They always appreciate a customer that asks them not to sing because (most of them) don't enjoy that part of the job anyway.
