As a native Californian, having spent time in several Southern states, I can confidently tell you this: Florida and Texas are NOT Alabama. And you may "love the Southern culture" but the more important question is this: how will the ladies and gentlemen of the South view YOU?
Please spend some time simply reading and researching on GC. And, work on that GPA, you'll be grateful that you did.
