I thought it would be hard to top Jordan Dorsey's awfulness, but Ta-Tynisa Wilson sure tried.

Steven and Jennifer both need to grow a pair.

OMG, what a mess that was! I just don't understand how they thought it even sounded decent. Awful. Not impresses with anybody so far tonight, actually.

I like Thia, and have since I first heard her. THAT'S what you do in a singing competition.

As for the judges.. In most cases, I don't know what the hell they're thinking. They're inconsistent and don't know what they're talking about.

What is going on with all the bad song choices? The originals may sound great but some of these girls/guys need to understand that they don't work for their voices.

And if one more person sings a Mariah Carey song I think I'm going to flip.

My five would be Thia, Pia, 2 Laurens, and Karen. I was expecting to love Julie, but I was disappointed. Lots of talent, but I agree with the previous poster who said that the gals just aren't consistent. I guess we'll really see as the season progresses.

Can someone clarify for me what's going on tomorrow? Are they narrowing it to the top 12?

^^Yep. The top 5 girls and top 5 guys will move on and then the judges pick two wildcards I think. They're doing it differently this year..

As I understand it, America picks the top 5 guys and the top 5 girls, then the judges pick 1 guy and 1 girl to move on with the 10 that received the highest number of votes.

If Cowell were still around, there's NWIH Tatynesia would have made it to Top 24. She had a spot dedicated to her flubbing I Hope You Dance during Hollywood Week for goodness sake! How the heck do you make it that far, forget your lyrics, and then still advance? Same with Scotty. I just don't get the hype about him.

Robby reminded me of someone straight outta Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Am happy about the girls with the exception of Ashthon. She's no diva, and if Miss Diana Ross saw last night's episode I'm sure she threw things at her TV. I think Kendra should have had one of the wildcards. Hoping Thia and Pia can remain consistent. Lauren Alaina I like too but I get the feeling she might get annoying.

Same with the guys. Scotty should not be there. I would have liked to see Jovany in his place. Stefano EARNED that wildcard last night. I'm glad it happened the way it did, because that Smokey Robinson song probably held more weight with the judges than it would have with voting America.

Glad the mosquito (Clint Jun Gamboa) and the asshat (Jordan) are gone.

I wouldn't be surprised if Casey wins it all. I just hope he doesn't turn into a big disappointment.

Thank you! What is it about Scotty? Even HE said he shouldn’t have made it as far as he has. He was somewhat good the other night, but you KNOW that’s all he’s going to sing… I’m sure that even if they had an Ozzie Osbourne week, he’d somehow figure out a way to make one of his songs sound like Kenny Chesney wrote it.

This! I loved Kendra, and I think she could have received a lot of votes from America. I don’t think either Ashton or Kendra would come close to winning, but even the judges couldn’t find anything good to say about Ashton’s singing last night. They said 1) She’s a diva, 2) She has a lot of energy, and 3) She sang like she wanted it. Well, guess what.. I want a lot of things, too, but I don’t always get (or deserve) them.

I’m not really sure who I would want to put in place of Scotty, but I know it wouldn’t have been Brett! I feel bad for the kid, but I don’t think the hair-tossing or hip-shaking did him any favors.

I cheered when this happened. The only reason I wanted Scotty there (and why I wish him and JC were better singers), is so that both of them could have made it to the top 12 (or 13), just so they could wave good-bye to the mosquito and the asshat as they were asked to leave the show. Being a jerk clearly doesn’t pay off. Buh-bye.

I would just like to add, also.. those final 6 performances last night.. uh, yea.. why didn’t they pick those songs to sing (or something similar) the 2 nights before??? Overall, I felt that song choices were TERRIBLE and way off base compared to what these people were singing leading up to that moment. You DON’T choose to go way outside the box when 12 people are getting kicked off the show. Duh.

I actually like the Judges this season. Randy is becoming the mean one though which I don't think fits him. JLo is the compassionate one and Steven is the outspoken one. They work well together. But the contestants left me bored this week with their performances.

Just because Randy disagrees with them doesn't mean he's the mean one. Most of the time he's the one who's actually giving good advice. JLo does have some valuable things to say also, but I hate how Steven and JLo just emphasize on the contestants good things rather than the bad things mostly. Randy has the most experience, so he's most likely going to give a better critique.
