Ok guys Im a huge fan of LOTR....The Dvd comes out in Aug and I've already pre ordered it (i hate standing in long lines). I needed to find out when they are allowing people to preorder the DVD for Nov. I know I know im such a weirdo to but them both, but one has all the extra scenes and I just have to have it.

Don't worry I completely understand. I am absolutely obsessed with LOTR. The books the movies....everything about it. The DVD with extra scenes will be awesome. I can't wait for it to come out!!!

Part of me wants to buy and then part of me thinks that I should wait because you know they will make it a box set when the third one is released.

You should have waited for November, when the directors cut comes out!! 3 disk set!

I would wait for the directors edition but i just can't ....patience is a virtue i havent mastered yet

Im a new fan of LOTR and I just loved the movie...the actors, script, action everything was awesome. Now, I just can't wait till the DVD's come out.

i finally saw the movie when it came to the cheap theater, and i loved it too. i'd never read any of the books, but right after i moved home, and had the spare time, i got "The Hobbit" and read it, and now I'm reading "The Fellowship of the Ring" I hope to finish it in a week or so, and move on the the other 2 books, then i may read more Tolkien, who knows!

Im pretty much in the same boat your in. in finishing the Two Towers so that I can see the movie and understand everything. I'll have to get the DVD and try to make connections ...i think its gonna be pretty good.
