Hey ladies, I was wondering what our rules are about sharing our letters with non-Theta Phis (like family and boyfriends). My boyfriend, who's a Sigma Nu, is thinking of giving me a lavalier at some point soon, and he already lets me wear his lettered hoody. I don't think I've ever been told clearly if I'm allowed to give him letters (clothing or jewelry), and also would like to know how common it is for girls to give their guys things anyway if we are able to. I think it'd be cute if we each had something that connected us to the other's fraternity.
Also, when it comes to candle passes, what is the sequence we use? I was looking on a separate forum on here that was between several different fraternities and sororities, and they all said different things. One said that the first pass is for lavaliering, second for pinning, third for engagement, and fourth for pregnancy. Do we have it outlined specifically as a sorority, or is it defined at the chapter level? My chapter (Beta Lambda) was just reinstated last May, so we haven't had enough time to really establish these traditions. Also, I don't think pinning is very common in my area.
Any other info on this subject would also be appreciated, as well as personal stories.
