There's nothing at all wrong with aspiring to a leadership position. The difference is between "I'd love to help shape the future of the sorority as it establishes itself on campus, and I think president, activities, membership (whatever your thing is) would be really challenging and fulfilling" and "when I'm president I'm going to change the colors our chapter uses because I really had blue and yellow. We're going to..." I think you can see the difference.
