Never expected when I booked my trip to Chicago this weekend, there would be a playoff game on Sunday. Should be rather interesting in the city!

It was a really fun atmosphere when I was there last weekend. Fiance (who is a huge Packers fan) has really been enjoying the rivalry this week too. He said people (including Steelers and Jets fans) have been wearing their jerseys to school nearly every day this week.
However, the fun atmosphere will probably turn to absolute insanity by tomorrow.

Did anyone ever figure out what tarnished reputation Aaron Rodgers has?
If honeychile was referring to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, everyone (even in Wisconsin) knows he's a d-bag.
It's the same sort of thing with Rothelsberger or any of the other really good professional athletes who do bad/dumb things. They get off easier because they are great at something Americans consider really, really important.

^ Yes, I was NOT referring to Rodgers. I was referring to the Cheeseboy.

Fiance refuses to acknowledge his existance. He cried the day Favre retired the first time. Now, he doesn't even mention him.
I'm not sure if he's more upset that Favre left Green Bay or that his hero turned out to be a real jerk.
I'm glad to hear Rodgers doesn't have anything bad (that we know about) on his record. He's a smart guy... or at least he was before all the brain trauma. Here's to hoping his special helmet works!

We "took care of" him and Favre when that happened. Not mentioning him is part of his punishment for crying.

I give him crap for that on a nearly daily basis. I came in the house and he was tearing up while watching TV and I panicked. I thought someone had died, because that was the first time I saw him cry....
It doesn't matter which team you root for: this video is too cute.

Ohhhh. I was wondering why you never answered my question...I was still confused about what poor Rodgers did. The other one's not ours. I've never met anyone who doesn't acknowledge he's a creeper (that is, if they'll even say his name).

Just leave loooooooooooots of extra travel time (especially for the airports) - they will be crowded but traveling around the city wasn't too too bad last week.

I don't know of any right now. If you find a burb you like, we can go from there. Because we live in the city, and the ban was in place when we moved here, we haven't looked into how to manage that hobby (in fact, when we lived in Pgh we indulged our shooting fascination with the handguns of a friend, so we'd be buying for the first time). We're still trying to make heads or tails of the new law right now. You have to take handgun training at a club, but there are no clubs in the city, and you can't take your handgun out of your house, etc. It's weird.

I'm hoping and praying I get an email today about us being allowed to wear sports jerseys to work tomorrow. I will rock my Steelers jersey with pride.
