Live-in and I picked it up after work last night. I like the story levels, he likes the created levels. I made it through the first full level only because he wanted to play some of the created ones, and we were actually responsible and went to bed at 11pm instead of staying up all night like we both probably wanted to.
Tonight I have work stuff to do but I will probably play it a little more through the week (although Live-in just got a couple of games that he wants to play, too), but he works on Saturday so I'm planning on scooting through as much as I can.
What I really love:
I can play with my friends without meeting up with them in person (read: I want to wear my rattiest PJs ever while playing this game). I didn't have an account while playing the first one, so I'm not 100% sure if you could do that before, but I love the "join the players" aspect of 2.
Also, the story aspect is more interesting so far.
CG I think you might actually like Little Big Planet. The "story" levels (if you can call what's in the first version an actual story) are kindof similar to Super Mario Bros, but you collect items that help you build your own worlds and you can play the worlds that other players are creating. It's got a social networking aspect that's really quite interesting.
Plus, the sackboy is cute. Well, mine is a sackgirl right now. And she's freaking a-dorable.

The story is MUCH better this time. I had limited time to play because of 2 dogs last night but I'm in love with the grappling hook. I'll probably check out some user created stuff as well since some people make some really great stuff.
My sackboy was Cole from iNfamous. Now he's the Human Torch lol. He may be the Green Goblin later...or Gonzo.

I have trouble managing the grappling hook - I think it's because I want swinging with the grappling hook to be just like swinging by holding on, but with longer "arms," and it's just not the same.
The hook is awesome, I just need to work on figuring out how to use it. I left a lot of items because I got so frustrated and just wanted to move on, but I figure at least there's something else for me to gain by going back and playing those levels again.
My sackgirl is 100% created by me right now - I was thinking about going with a theme of some sort and I love how I can use the costumes from the first game in the second game, I just need to be feeling a little more creative when I do it.
Do I remember Cole had some sort of something awesome attached to his arm in Infamous? The grappling hook would make a nice accessory in that case.

In the game Cole doesn't but Sackboy Cole has a glowing ball of light in his right hand. I just wish they had an "evil" version too to go along with the facial expressions of being "evil".
Pretty sure sack people are in the "so cute its impossible to be evil" zone.

I wish it were traditional for there to be a Bride's cake, a Groom's cake, and a wedding cake at a wedding. If that were the case (and I had all the money in the world) I'd have a sackgirl wedding cake of my sackgirl, she's so cute.
Unfortunately, LBP doesn't make live-in drool with teh cute like I do over it, so we probably wouldn't do sackboy-and-girl toppers.

Superhero question. Place yourself in a Marvel or DC comic book, and give yourself special powers to fight supervillains. What are your special powers? (Primary and secondary) How do they work? What would you call yourself? This should be fun.
I would like to be able to have complete control over gravity, and my secondary power would be to have complete control over atoms. Those would be my superpowers. Oh, and I would call myself, "Gravity Girl". lol
With powers like that, I would be able to kick some serious butt.

I'm mad I missed this earlier. But the first thing that pops in my head is this...
I'll think about my powers and get back to you lol

Ok...to you and Animate...thinking about picking this up for me and the missus...is it really really worth it?

After thinking short and soft I'm going to have to say I'd be some kind of manipulator of undeath. Not exactly evil but if you just saw me in passing you'd probably steer clear of me and my blight. (I'm like a Death Knight for you WoW people. Unholy spec) I can give death a new life and manipulate it as a main power. Secondary power would be being able to know one's fears.
Maybe I am evil lol

Worth is an understatement. Easily one of the most creative games I've played in a long time with all of the stuff you end up being able to do. Plus it has Sackboys.

That's so cool. I like your powers, Animate.
Hmmm, I would fight the supervillains. It's just that I would like to have complete control over gravity, because I would be able to do a lot with that kind of power. Like, I remember when I was a little girl, I remember my dad telling me that planet Krypton had 15 times the gravity of Earth or something like that. Well, I've been into astrophysics ever since I was about 7 or 8. I remember thinking that if I had control over gravity, I would have control over a lot, and that I would be able to kick Superman's butt. I remember reading something at the time about exotic matter, with exceedingly high densities, formed from the remnants of supernova explosions. That's when I really started getting into back holes and large gaseous planets with gravity much stronger than Earth. It's just that when the size of a planet reaches a certain threshold, the gravitational compression at its center is so large that the nuclei of different atoms literally fuse together, creating larger nuclei and releasing excess energy in the process. Imagine what I could do with that? I would be able to kick butt and take names. Gooo, "Gravity Girl" (me) lol

My outfit would look something like this one. Green for MSU.
DVM during the day, "Gravity Girl" at night.
When trouble would start, I would just say "Go Gravity Girl" --next a really small supernova explosion..the next thing ya know, I'm in my super outfit. lol
From your local vet, to "Gravity Girl".
I think I'm getting sleepy because I am laughing SO hard right now.

Hey guys, let's rate this thread. I just clicked on "rate thread", and I gave it five stars. If we all rate it, it will have stars next to it.
