My husband was the best friend (from home) of our sweetheart my junior year. Said sweetheart threw us an off campus party one night, invited his BF from home up "because there would be a ton of hot chicks there." I couldn't take my eyes off him for a long time. Finally introduced myself, we spent the whole night talking. The following weekend, I drove 2 hours to the town where he lived to go to a family dinner. I was the aggressor, and we've been married for over 7 years.

I'm really laughing at the use of the word "agressor." "Date me!! NOW!!!"

My wife's sister introduced us. At church. Yep, we met at church on a Sunday morning. Our first date was a minor league baseball game. I guess I'd say that I was the persistent one, at least at first, though my mother would have said my wife chased me until I caught her.

I've known my husband since middle school, but we never really talked much until college. We had a lot of the same friends and took a lot of the same classes, just avoided each other, I guess? Once we were in college, I invited him to come to eat with me in the campus dining hall so I would have someone there I at least knew, and we wound up talking for hours about nuclear weapons. We kept meeting in the dining hall after that, and kept getting kicked out by the cafeteria ladies for making elaborate sculptures out of our leftovers and for staying too long. I tried to get him to ask me on a "real" date, but my attempts at subtlety failed miserably and somehow we just kind of wound up as a couple without any of the usual dating crap.

I met my husband at a restaurant we both worked at. I invited him to a party, then in the days afterward he would come stop by my house. I wouldn't say either it us was more aggresive, but I made the first move. Funny thing that it was against policy for us to date, but we did for almost 8 months before anyone, except his family who also worked there, found out. I think the best was this obnoxious waitress who kept insisting that he was making goo-goo eyes at her...little did she know...

I'll try to keep this short. When I was finishing up my last year at the University of Minnesota, there was a coffee shop (Nina's) that I used to go to where I would study. I actually had been going there for about a year. That was also his favorite spot, but we never saw each other. And I know at one time or another we were there at the same time, we just didn't notice each other. We became e-mail buddies, until one weekend he told me he was coming to visit his parents. So, we agreed to meet up at Nina's (I also brought two of my friends with me, just incase). So, we all talked for a few hours, ate, had coffee, etc. Long before I met him/talked to him/e-mailed him, I applied to the vet schools I wanted to attend. I got accepted to my first choice, which happened to be in the same state where he lives, just over an hour away. I didn't know anyone in Michigan, so we hung out a lot during that summer. Although, I thought he was really, really hot, I never pursued him in that way. We were just friends for the longest, I just thought he was a really fun person to be around. I don't think we ever really had an actual "first date" because we never hung out in that way. Eventually, one thing led to another, and we've been together ever since.

I would say he was the one who pursued me. He disagrees, but I think it was because I told him about this guy who asked me out on a date. That's when he started moving a little faster. So, he was the "aggressor".
